Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support SEND pupils in a mainstream primary setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO to develop and implement individualized plans to support the pupils' educational and personal needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the pupil in the classroom, encouraging participation and engagement in activities
- Help to break down barriers to accessing the curriculum and develop strategies to support the pupil's learning
- Work closely with the SENCO to review and update the pupil's individualized plan
- Provide emotional support and build a trusting relationship with the pupil
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to ensure consistency and continuity in the pupil's education
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 TA qualification or experience working in a care background
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
- Calm, confident, and proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative in challenging situations
- Available for at least 3 days per week
- Hold a Child Only DBS or be willing to apply for one
