Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Thornaby. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a Y4 child with behavioral and support needs.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with primary school aged children, particularly those with SEND. They will be able to work as part of a team, providing support and guidance to the child, and contributing to their progress and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a Y4 child with behavioral and support needs
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with the child's daily routine, including breaks and meals
  • Support the child's emotional and social development
  • Communicate effectively with the child, parents, and other stakeholders
