We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEND Provision Teacher to join our team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND and learning styles and be able to teach a range of subjects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a range of subjects within our SEND school
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing our school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils' work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about pupils' progress
  • To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially leading in a subject area
  • Ensuring a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
