Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN/SEND Tutor to work with young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.

At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We believe in keeping the team around the child and provide extensive support to our tutors throughout every placement.

Role Overview

This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs. You will be working on a flexible part-time basis to suit your schedule and may have occasional opportunities to take on remote jobs and online teaching assignments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans for each student
  • Deliver engaging sessions that meet the young person's needs and advance their educational journey
  • Provide regular progress reports and offer constructive feedback
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references available upon request
Compensation Package

£25,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
