About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Safeguarding Adults Nurse/Practitioner to join our integrated safeguarding team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the safeguarding adult agenda within the trust and across wider partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to staff on safeguarding adults, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to practice safely and effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with national and local legislation and guidance.
  • Work closely with the Named Nurse - Safeguarding Adults, Lead Nurse for Mental Health, Learning Disability and Neurodiversity, and the Specialist MCA practice nurse to support the clinical areas in their safeguarding duty.
  • Provide visible, proactive, high-quality clinical presence to staff in relation to safeguarding adults, ensuring that they are aware of and understand their responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the remit for adult safeguarding and the associated legislative requirements, ensuring that you are up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices.
