The Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited team is actively recruiting for General Teaching Assistants to support a rising demand for supply staff in the Education sector in Cirencester.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class, providing support to the children of the group as needed. Your days will be filled with purpose as you assist students with their learning journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Assisting Teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
  • Recording and reporting children's progress to the Teacher
  • Helping children stay focused during class hours
  • Supervising group activities, sports events, and school outings
  • Supporting Teachers in managing student behaviour
  • Assisting Teachers in improving children's core skills, such as reading and writing
  • Providing care and support to children who are unwell or upset

Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
