About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cirencester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil, providing personalized support in a 1:1 setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the classroom for lessons and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Provide 1:1 care to a child with Special Educational Needs, including physical or mental impairment, learning difficulties, ADHD, or ASD
  • Assist Teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
  • Record and report the child's progress to the Teacher
  • Help the child stay focused during class hours and manage student behavior
  • Improve the core skills of the child with SEN, such as reading and writing
  • Provide a healthy, engaging, and safe learning environment for children
Requirements
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs and ability to guide and teach children with SEN
  • Ability to communicate clearly and articulately
  • Inquisitive towards children, good relationship building, and empathetic towards children and their needs
  • Ability to create an encouraging and appropriate learning environment for children with SEN
  • Adaptable and flexible working attitude
