Job Overview

Kenton Black Finance is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to join their team in Ellesmere Port, Chester. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a HYBRID OR OFFICE role, providing leadership and support to a small team of Payroll Administrators.

The successful candidate will possess full end-to-end payroll processing experience, running payrolls on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis, and have a solid knowledge of pension auto enrolment procedures. They will be responsible for processing and managing payrolls, mentoring/training and delegating to the team, and providing clients with payroll reports and updates.

The role also involves dealing with HMRC queries & RTI, processing SMP, SSP, and setting up new clients. The Payroll Manager will oversee and delegate workload to the team, working collaboratively to process client payrolls to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process and manage Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly payrolls via IRIS Payroll Professional
  2. Mentor/train and delegate to a small team of administrators providing technical support
  3. Provide clients with payroll reports and updates
  4. Deal with HMRC queries & RTI
  5. Process SMP, SSP
  6. Competent and knowledgeable with all aspects of pensions Auto enrolment procedures
  7. Process starters/leavers, P45/P46's
  8. Set up new clients
