We are looking for a skilled Independent Return Home Interviewer to join our Missing Children Team. In this critical role, you will work closely with children and families to understand the reasons behind a child's absence and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.

As an Independent Return Home Interviewer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, gathering information, and providing guidance to help children and families stay safe. You will need to be able to work effectively with children, parents, and professionals to ensure that everyone is working together to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. You should also have sound and accurate IT skills, including report writing and maintaining accurate records.

We offer a competitive salary of £29,157 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including opportunities for training and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Return Home Interviews with children and adolescents who have been reported missing.
  • Gather information about the reasons behind a child's absence and identify any risks or safety concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support to children and families to help prevent future incidents.
  • Work closely with other teams to share best practices and improve outcomes for vulnerable children.

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
