Job Title:

Plant Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of plant hire equipment in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in testing and repairing plant equipment. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with other engineers, drivers, and the hire desk team.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test plant hire equipment to ensure it is safe and meets Speedy's safety standards.
  • Maintain and repair plant equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Liaise with drivers and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance effectively.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to the highest standard.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
