Job Description

**Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Public Health Specialist to join our team at East Suffolk Council. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in protecting public and animal health at the border by supporting the undertaking and delivery of statutory and discretionary services.

Salary: £27,711 - £33,366 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • To support the protection of public and animal health at the border by working with Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority (SCPHA)
  • To undertake and deliver a range of statutory and discretionary services at Border Control Points (BCPs)
  • To work under own initiative but also as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent Level 3 qualifications)
  • Good computer and communication skills
  • Able to organise and prioritise workload systematically
  • Mobility to work across locations for which SCPHA has responsibilities
