Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Integrated Mental Health team at HMP Wakefield. This full-time role involves supporting the psychological care of patients with complex needs, including those with PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Psychologist to deliver an outstanding service to patients. They will be part of a team of 7, with the Psychologist onsite around 1-2 days per week.

The role requires running clinics, assessments, and one-to-one sessions, as well as preparing and delivering a weekly psychological intervention group session. The individual will work within the ACCT process and contribute to the CSIP.

They will also monitor and provide feedback on patients' functioning and mental health condition during intervention, reporting any changes to the mental health team.

Requirements
  • Hold a Degree in Psychology
  • Experience in a paid Assistant Psychologist role
  • Experience in facilitating patient therapeutic groups and delivering psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention

The salary for this role is £28,247 - £32,346 per annum, depending on experience.
