Job Description

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Care Home Manager to lead a team at a prestigious nursing home in the UK. The successful candidate will be working for a leading healthcare provider, managing staff and resources to ensure residents receive dignified and fulfilling care.

This is a complex and rewarding role, involving close liaison with residents, their families, professional contacts, and multi-disciplinary teams. The Home Manager will be responsible for creating and leading a vision for the home, ensuring a philosophy of continuous improvement and encouraging the home's journey to 'outstanding'.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing a nursing home, a good working knowledge of CQC standards, and excellent communication skills. They will be able to maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal and external, and have a proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector.

The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £65,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including a contributory pension scheme, enhanced rates of pay for bank holidays, and comprehensive induction and training programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff and resources to ensure residents receive dignified and fulfilling care
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and wider healthcare and hospitality teams to ensure quality of individual service and care meets high standards
  • Create and lead a vision for the home, ensuring a philosophy of continuous improvement and encouraging the home's journey to 'outstanding'
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal and external

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing a nursing home
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector
