Climax Studios is a renowned game development studio with a rich history of creating immersive digital experiences. We're seeking an experienced Senior Gameplay Systems Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of a major AAA console title.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating engaging gameplay mechanics and systems, with experience working on AAA console titles. They will be responsible for owning and delivering core gameplay systems, working closely with the team and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing core gameplay systems
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure project vision and quality standards are met
  • Creating compelling and memorable moment-to-moment gameplay
  • Maintaining clear and concise documentation for all features
  • Regularly playing the game and providing feedback

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Gameplay Systems Designer on AAA console titles
  • Proven experience working with Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprinting
  • Experience with player movement, abilities, and weapons, cameras, and exploration mechanics
  • Ability to rapidly prototype ideas in engine
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
