Electrical Maintenance and Repair

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Depot Electrician / Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment within our depot and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical systems, wiring, and machinery in line with company standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and repair faulty equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Install, inspect, and test electrical equipment and systems in accordance with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
General Maintenance and Engineering Support

You will also be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on non-electrical systems and equipment, including HVAC and plumbing. Additionally, you will assist with depot infrastructure repairs, including lighting, power supplies, and general building maintenance.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification, 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), and Certified in PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation, ideally within a depot or industrial environment.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and control circuits, and ability to work with technical diagrams and schematics.
Health & Safety Compliance

You will be responsible for adhering to all Health & Safety policies, ensuring electrical work complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will also ensure the safe operation of all equipment and systems by following risk assessments, safety procedures, and relevant legislation.

Documentation and Reporting

You will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including electrical tests, repairs, and installations. You will also complete maintenance logs, work orders, and service reports on a daily basis to ensure compliance with company policies.

Collaborative Work

You will work alongside other maintenance engineers, depot staff, and external contractors to ensure timely and efficient repairs and installations.
