About Us:

Your Role:

You will support the ongoing transformation of Connection arrangements within National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), working closely with Connection Reform Managers to drive policy, regulatory, and process reforms. This role involves self-directed project-based work, collaboration with stakeholders, and providing clear interpretations of policy and regulatory changes for internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarise policy and regulatory updates from Electricity System Operator (ESO), Government, and Ofgem to ensure accurate understanding among colleagues.
  • Support and lead the development of NGET's policy positions on Connections Reform topics.
  • Build and maintain an internal network to gather inputs from various business areas for policy development.

Graduate Programme:

As part of our 18-month graduate programme, you will have a tailored development pathway to acquire leadership, business, and technical skills. You will attend development sessions, receive coaching and mentorship, and complete placements across the UK to deepen your understanding of our business.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 2:2 degree in a commercial field such as Business or Economics.
  • A valid full UK Driving License due to frequent site visits.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the UK as required.

Location and Benefits:

This role is based in Warwick with flexible hybrid working options. We offer a competitive starting salary of £34,895, plus benefits including a £2,000 bonus upon joining, 26 days holiday, and up to £200 per month accommodation allowance during rotations.
