Job Title: Apprentice Commissioning Engineer

Fyba Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As an Apprentice Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful commissioning of complex projects in the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide commissioning expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality commissioning services that meet customer expectations.
  3. Participate in continuous improvement of business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Plan resource requirements at project level to ensure timely completion.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve profitable operation in commissioning.
  6. Develop and implement cost-effective system commissioning and ICA engineering solutions.
  7. Commission projects within budget and to the required quality standards.
  8. Ensure effective documentation of the commissioning process, including commissioning data and as-built documentation.
  9. Recognize the importance of customer satisfaction in achieving business objectives.
  10. Continuously develop personally and technically to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  11. Participate in knowledge management and sharing to enhance business performance.
  12. Maintain Health and Safety standards during commissioning activities.
  13. Contribute to creating a safe working environment for all.
  14. Report safety issues responsibly and participate in improving practice.
  15. Engage in continuous professional development through external networking, conferences, and associations.
  16. Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
Person Specification:
  1. Experience in the water industry, preferably in commissioning.
  2. Commissioning experience in a contracting environment.
  3. Complex commissioning projects, including process control systems and strategies.
  4. Electrical and instrumentation systems expertise.
  5. Working within a certified quality management system.
  6. Knowledge of contract law, including standard forms of contract in the water or process-related industry.
  7. Relevant qualifications, such as HNC/HND.
  8. MEICA commissioning experience (desirable).
