Job Title: Apprentice Commissioning Engineer

You will report directly to the Commissioning Manager and be responsible for providing commissioning expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide commissioning expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  2. Ensure the quality of commissioning work meets the required standards.
  3. Participate in continuous improvement of business processes.
  4. Plan resource requirements at project level.
  5. Ensure profitable operation in commissioning at project level.
  6. Provide cost-effective system commissioning and ICA engineering.
  7. Commission projects within budget allowed.
  8. Ensure effective documentation of the commissioning process.
  9. Recognize the importance of satisfying the customer as the key to achieving other objectives.
  10. Continuously develop personally and technically.
  11. Participate in the acquisition and storing of business and technical knowledge.
  12. Maintain Health and Safety levels during commissioning activities.
  13. Recognize that Health and Safety considerations are central to all tasks.
  14. Report safety issues responsibly.
  15. Ensure continuous professional development by participating in external networking and conferences.
  16. Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work.
Person Specification:
  1. Experience of the water industry.
  2. Commissioning in a contracting environment.
  3. Complex commissioning projects.
  4. Process control systems and strategies.
  5. Electrical and instrumentation systems.
  6. Working within a certified quality management system.
  7. Knowledge of contract law.
  8. HNC/HND.
  9. MEICA commissioning (desirable).
