About the Role

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for generating sustainable and profitable territory revenue by leveraging Trelleborg's Sales Excellence tools, resources, and manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with targeted customers to understand their needs and business strategies.
  • Develop and execute formal account plans to meet short and long-term revenue and profit targets.
  • Establish and manage a robust project opportunity pipeline by identifying, validating, and advancing new opportunities to position Trelleborg's solutions and services.
  • Engage new target customers within the assigned region to support key strategic initiatives and long-term growth goals.
  • Proactively work with operations and customer service to respond to complex customer inquiries, deliver timely quotations, negotiate prices and delivery times, and resolve customer complaints.
  • Establish and build sustainable, collaborative relationships with support teams (marketing, customer service, operations, R&D, etc.) to conduct joint customer visits and ensure best-in-class fulfilment of customer needs and completion of customer projects.
  • Understand and communicate market trends, customers' strategies, competitive intelligence, and the overall market landscape. Apply this information to establish the sell price and profit margin in collaboration with the Trelleborg Medical Solutions support teams.
  • Maintain and report accurate records and project opportunity statuses in CRM tool and monthly reports.
  • Professionally represent and promote Trelleborg's Medical Solutions at regional trade shows and conferences as required.
  • Increase Trelleborg's Brand Awareness and identify marketing needs in the territory.
  • Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, including Quality Manual and Quality Procedures.
  • Become a subject matter expert for Trelleborg Medical Solutions to be a consultative sales professional for our customers.
  • Position Trelleborg as the contract manufacturer of choice for our current and prospective customers.
Requirements
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry (sales or engineering)
  • Degree educated in a business or engineering discipline preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business sales and marketing practices
Preferred
  • Technical competency (able to read and understand technical prints)
  • Knowledge of silicone molding and extrusion
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 quality requirements
