About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our Trelleborg Sealing Solutions - Healthcare and Medical team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for generating sustainable and profitable revenue in the United Kingdom by leveraging our Sales Excellence tools, resources, and manufacturing capabilities.

You will build relationships across all levels of existing and target customer organizations, understanding their needs and meeting or exceeding their expectations. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with customers to understand their business strategies and needs.
  • Develop and execute account plans to meet short and long-term revenue and profit targets.
  • Identify, validate, and advance new business opportunities to position our solutions and services.
  • Engage new target customers to support key strategic initiatives and long-term growth goals.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to respond to customer inquiries, deliver quotations, negotiate prices and delivery times, and resolve customer complaints.
  • Work closely with support teams to conduct joint customer visits and ensure best-in-class fulfillment of customer needs and completion of customer projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer strategies, competitive intelligence, and the overall market landscape to inform sales decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records and project opportunity statuses in our CRM tool and provide regular reports.
  • Represent and promote our Medical Solutions at regional trade shows and conferences as required.
  • Contribute to increasing our brand awareness and identifying marketing needs in the territory.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, including Quality Manual and Quality Procedures.
  • Develop subject matter expertise for our Medical Solutions to provide consultative sales support to customers.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry (sales or engineering)
  • Degree educated in a business or engineering discipline preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business sales and marketing practices
Preferred:
  • Technical competency (able to read and understand technical prints)
  • Knowledge of silicone molding and extrusion
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 quality requirements
