About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team at Hibernia Home Care. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Provide prompting with prescribed medication
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a care-giving role
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent
  • Full driving license and access to a car is desirable, but not essential depending on location
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
