Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Mental Health Liaison Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments and care planning for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and implement effective risk management plans to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with service users, carers, and families to promote empowerment and involvement in care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development projects.
- Work flexibly across a 24-hour, 7-day period on a rotational basis.
- Degree-level education in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, nursing, social work).
- Postgraduate diploma level experience in mental health assessment and treatment.
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based contemporary mental health practice.
- Good understanding of the impact of physical and mental health co-morbidities.
- Sound working knowledge of mental health legislation and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize, and manage workload effectively.
- Leadership skills and ability to supervise staff.
