Job Details

Are you a dedicated and passionate teaching professional looking to take on a new challenge? We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Foxfield Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students in achieving their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher to undertake tasks and responsibilities in line with the Standards for Higher Level Teaching Assistants.
  • Contribute to planning, preparing, and delivering agreed work and support programs to individual, groups of pupils, or whole classes.
  • Advance pupils' learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with whole classes when the assigned teacher is not present.
  • Under an agreed system of direction and supervision, carry out timetabled PPA cover for teachers from EYFS to upper key stage two.
  • Use behavior management strategies in line with the school's policy and procedures to contribute to a purposeful learning environment.
  • In agreement with SLT, be responsible for the allocation of duties and the training of other teaching assistants.
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
