Early Years Leader Job Description

At Ultimate Activity, we're seeking an exceptional Early Years Leader to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our camp staff, you'll play a vital role in delivering a fun and engaging programme for our youngest campers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality Early Years programme, ensuring all EYFS requirements are met.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sports, arts, and crafts activities for 4- and 5-year-olds, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment.
  • Direct and support a small team of Early Years staff, promoting a positive and inclusive camp environment.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of our youngest campers, liaising with parents and guardians as needed.
  • Manage administrative duties, including sign-in/out, registration, and communication with parents.
  • Collaborate with the Camp Manager to promote the welfare of all children in your care.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with significant experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
  • Proven ability to deliver activities and adapt to dynamic situations, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp setting.
  • Excellent communicator with great face-to-face customer service skills, able to interact with parents and guardians.
  • A pro-active and conscientious team player, able to adapt to challenges on camp.
