About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Safety Engineer to join our team in ZipRecruiter. As a member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting the derivation and management of Product Safety requirements derived from Product Safety hazard and risk identification.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Project Safety Management Plans and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Influence the development of safe design and the Project Safety Case, including logical technical safety arguments and justification reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate hazards, and maintain the project hazard log.
  • Perform peer reviews, checking, verification, and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case reporting.
  • Reasonable knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ALARP principles and application processes.
