Main Responsibilities- Assist the EBME Manager in providing a high-quality service, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Line manage a team of engineers, implementing safe systems and promoting innovation.
- Develop robust governance practices, blending the work of the team to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Provide strong leadership, solution-focused and with a can-do attitude, to drive the team's success.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams, senior managers, and colleagues to communicate and provide specialist advice on medical devices.
- Undertake testing, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of medical equipment.
- Deputise for the EBME Manager, supervising work plans and work of junior staff.
- Identify and manage risks associated with medical equipment, supporting investigation of medical device-related incidents.
- Act as a mentor, overseeing training and CPD for engineers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Monitor key performance standards, producing reports and action plans to address any deficits.
