About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Engineering Team Leader to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Medical Device Service, you will play a vital role in leading our engineering team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical devices to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers to achieve stated performance targets and outcomes.
- Support colleagues to meet their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training targets.
- Plan and implement personal development reviews for team members.
- Undertake testing and repair of a wide range of medical equipment.
- Communicate with clinical teams, senior managers, and colleagues regarding the life cycle of medical devices.
- Supervise work plans and work of junior staff.
- Assist in identifying and managing risk associated with medical equipment and supporting investigation of medical device-related incidents.
- Act as a mentor and oversee training and CPD for engineers of all grades.
- Assist in monitoring key performance standards associated with both internal and external work plans.
Requirements
- B Eng. in Electronics or equivalent experience, plus specialist training and experience to post-grad. Diploma or equivalent level.
- Certificate in supervisory management or equivalent experience.
- Manufacturer accredited training course certificates.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
