Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Energy Manager to lead policy development and strategic planning for sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will possess an excellent working knowledge of sustainability issues and climate change, with a proven track record in managing high-level and complex projects across multiple workstreams and priorities.
The role will involve developing and implementing the University's Energy and Carbon Management Plan (ECMP), promoting sustainable working practices and cultural change within the University. The Sustainability and Energy Manager will work closely with the Director of Estates to achieve these objectives.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals. They will also have a strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices, with experience in managing energy and carbon reduction initiatives.
