Sustainability and Energy Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability and Energy Manager to join our Climate Change and Sustainability team in Central London. The successful candidate will contribute to the council's ambitious target of achieving net zero by 2030 and delivery of the council's Climate Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract management of the council's numerous energy contracts to ensure a transition to a low carbon future while obtaining value for money for the council and its residents.
  • Providing advice to cabinet members and directors on energy and sustainability.
  • Representing the council with external contractors, partners, and other organisations.
  • Managing two positions: the Climate Change & Energy Project Manager and the Sustainability & Energy Officer.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in energy procurement and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of climate change and sustainability principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
