Female Support Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Practitioner to join our Airdrie Service, supporting a young woman with autism and deafness. The successful candidate will provide person-centered support, empowering her to lead a happy and meaningful life.
The focus of this role is to provide daily support, including personal care, meal preparation, and companionship. You will work alongside her to build skills that promote self-sufficiency, respecting her need for structure and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the young woman, promoting her independence and individuality.
- Collaborate with family and other professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of daily tasks.
- Effective communication with the staff team and family.
Requirements:
- Good team-working skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively and use your own initiative.
- Strong work ethic and organised to support routines.
- Able to prioritise and manage workloads.
- Eager to develop and a genuine passion for caring for others.

The young woman we support enjoys being outside, long walks, visits to the seaside, and a variety of activities. She loves to go for a drive in her car and likes to have a Greggs for lunch. Family are important to her, and she is much happier around upbeat people who make her laugh and smile with their silly humour.
Shift Pattern:
Our Airdrie Service provides round-the-clock support every day of the year. Staff will work a rolling 4-week master rota, with one full weekend off every four weeks. During this time, you will cover one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift over the other three weeks.
24 hour Shift Details:
- Start Time: 9:45 AM to 10:00 PM
- Sleepover: Following the evening shift, you will complete a 9-hour sleepover in the service.
- Early Shift: The following day includes a short shift from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
