Support Practitioner for Independent Living
4 days ago
At Sense Scotland, we take pride in offering a rewarding career in Social Care. As a Support Practitioner for Independent Living, you will play a vital role in supporting a young female with additional support needs to lead a happy and meaningful life.
We are seeking a talented individual with a genuine passion for caring for others to join our Airdrie Service. The successful candidate will provide person-centered support that encourages our service user to engage in daily tasks and routines, promoting her independence and individuality according to her Support Plan.
The focus of this position is to build a trusting relationship with our service user, providing assistance with personal care and support in her home, including housework, medication administration, meal preparation, and companionship. You will also collaborate with family and other professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in someone's life. As a Support Practitioner, you will have the chance to develop your skills and experience in health and social care, while enjoying a fulfilling work-life balance.
We value strong team-working skills and a positive attitude. Effective communication and the ability to use your own initiative are essential qualities for this role. Strong work ethic and organization are required to support routines, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage workloads.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a female-only service, and it is desirable for the successful candidate to have a full UK driving license, as they will drive the young lady's mobility car to access various activities and local areas as part of her regular support.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary, comprehensive training and development opportunities, and a supportive team environment. If you are passionate about making a difference in someone's life, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
You will work alongside our dedicated team to provide 24-hour support every day of the year. The shift pattern includes a rolling 4-week master rota, with one full weekend off every four weeks. During this time, you will cover one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift over the other three weeks.
We believe life is about more than just care; it's about enjoyment, fulfillment, and meaningful experiences. Our service user enjoys being outside, going for walks, visiting the seaside, and exploring places of interest, such as museums and historic attractions. She also loves to go for drives in her car and enjoy lunch at Greggs.
