Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Trade Specialist with expertise in plumbing and carpentry to join our client's growing team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting, and general handyman duties.
  • Diagnose and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and blockages.
  • Carry out carpentry tasks including fitting doors, installing cabinets, repairing furniture, constructing frameworks, and hanging fire doors.
  • Work on projects for landlords and letting agents, as well as commercial jobs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete larger projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and questions with professionalism and a smile.
  • Undertake general maintenance jobs, including redecorations, ensuring properties are kept in top condition.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in both plumbing and carpentry, with a strong bias towards these trades.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing and/or carpentry.
  • Experience in hanging fire doors and other specialized carpentry tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
