Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Dental Officer to join our Special Care/Paediatric Dental Service in Gloucestershire. As a senior member of our team, you will provide specialist care to children, young people, and adults with additional needs, and contribute to the development of our strategic vision.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to provide comprehensive clinical care to adult and paediatric patients who require special care dentistry. This will involve providing treatment using different modalities, including inhalation sedation, IV, and general anaesthesia, in various settings such as clinics, hospitals, and domiciliary locations.

The post holder will also be responsible for line management of a team of dental officers and dental therapists, and will participate in clinical governance within the service.

Key Requirements
  • Full GDC registration and Performer Number
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical subject
  • Wide experience of working in a special care setting
  • Clinical experience in treating adults and children with additional needs
  • Proven leadership experience
