Buckinghamshire Mind is a leading mental health charity in the local community, providing high-quality services to support and represent people with mental health needs. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Friends in Need Coordinator.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating our peer support groups, developing and supporting volunteers, and promoting the services in the community. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in mental health support and make a positive impact in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Users: Engage people affected by mental health difficulties, encourage them to join and use the network effectively, and maintain a varied timetable of group activities.
  • Volunteer Recruitment and Support: Increase volunteer applications and capacity, supervise and train volunteers, and maintain regular contact with all volunteers.
  • Reporting and Promotion: Maintain our CRM database, collect and communicate key KPI data, and participate in events to promote Friends in Need and Buckinghamshire Mind.
Requirements
  • Essential: Educated to GCSE level, experience of providing a support service to adults with mental health difficulties, and ability to form positive working relationships.
  • Desirable: Experience of working with diverse communities, lived experience of depression, and experience of coordinating innovative projects.
