About the Position

This is a unique opportunity to join Bryn Mawr College as the Director of Strategic Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a multi-channel communications plan, driving media relations efforts, and promoting the college as a thought leader in higher education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic communications plan to build affinity for Bryn Mawr College's work.
  • Identify and prepare subject matter experts as spokespersons to secure speaking opportunities and promote the college's expertise.
  • Promote the college as a thought leader in higher education through media relations and strategic partnerships.
  • Advise senior leadership on best practices in public relations and develop organizational messaging and talking points.
  • Work with department teams to align messaging in internal and external communications.
  • Monitor progress of communications efforts and provide regular reports as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
  • 7-10 years managing organizational communications with a proven track record in media event management.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, multi-task and shift priorities frequently.
  • Ability to maintain excellent relations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum.
