Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team at Best Edo Ltd. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the council's standards on environmental protection, covering noise pollution, light pollution, and odour. Your expertise will be essential in advising residents, businesses, and others in the borough on everyday commercial-related pollution nuisance and more complex pollution issues, particularly noise nuisance-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold an appropriate Environmental Health Registration Board approved academic qualification, such as an MSc, BSc (Hons), or Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent qualification.
- Post-qualification experience of Noise Work is essential.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in environmental protection or a related field is required.
- Provide comprehensive advice to various types of premises.
- Advise businesses, consumers, and other service users on the criminal and civil law relating to environmental protection in terms of noise, odour, and light pollution.
- Prepare reports and statements to meet legal and court procedures, including taking the lead role in complex investigative work.

- Full-time, Fixed term contract

- Pay: From £40.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 36 per week
- Work Location: In person
