Job Title: Environmental Health Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Hatched Recruitment Group. As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for securing improvements to standards and management in privately rented housing through investigation, engagement, and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct surveys of privately rented properties to identify housing defects and hazards
Utilize expert knowledge of Housing Act and other relevant legislation to identify enforcement action
Collect and present evidence in court and defend council decisions
Manage a mixed caseload of reactive service requests, planned licensing verification, and monitoring activities

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Environmental Health and registered with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health as an Environmental Health Practitioner
Minimum of 3 years experience as an Environmental Health Officer
