Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of £18 per hour, paid on a zero hour contract basis around term time. This provides flexibility for you to enjoy more free time during weekends and holidays, while still being able to develop your skills and grow with our company.
Job DescriptionThe Executive Culinary Director will be responsible for leading our culinary team to deliver consistently fantastic dining experiences for students and staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation of delicious and nutritious meals of the highest quality, using fresh ingredients and overseeing menu development
- Providing outstanding support and guidance to the team, including coaching and training staff in a positive and motivating manner
- Managing and improving all controllable costs, including stock, food, and labour costs
- Driving sales through monthly promotions and added value events, such as themed meals and special offers
- Building positive relationships with clients and customers, including parents and students
- Ensuring full compliance with company systems & procedures, and legislation related to food safety and health & safety practices within a kitchen
We are looking for a natural positive leader who can demonstrate great teamwork and has previous experience in managing a team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
- OND or HND Qualification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a kitchen, including food safety and hygiene
- Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets

The Executive Culinary Director will be responsible for:
- Managing the team to ensure a consistently fantastic dining experience for students and staff in line with company standards
- Leading in the preparation of delicious and nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our, and overseeing menu development
- Providing outstanding support and guidance to the team
- Leading, developing, coaching and training all staff in a positive and motivating manner
- Having full control of the catering operation including stock, food, and labour costs
- Managing and improving all controllable costs
- Driving sales through monthly promotions and added value events
- Building positive relationships with clients and customers
- Ensuring full compliance with company systems & procedures, and legislation
- Carrying out regular audits to ensure standards are being met
