Citi is seeking a skilled Internal Business Risk Controller to join its Risk Management team in Institutional Credit Management. This critical role involves ensuring the quality of wholesale credit risk management processes across the enterprise, identifying operational and control weaknesses, training needs, and process deficiencies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with In-Business Credit Risk, Independent Risk, FCR, Internal Audit, and Regulators to assess the quality of policies, procedures, programs, and practices related to wholesale credit risk management.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the Regional Leads of In-Business QA in implementing and delivering a robust Quality Assurance function according to the coverage universe.
  2. Collaborate with the Underwriting and 1LOD functions to ensure quality assurance protocols are adequate for all portfolios.
  3. Support in establishing WCR In-Business QA policies, procedures, risk assessment, and controls to drive effective QA coverage and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business (MBA) or a related subject.
  • Demonstrable strong assurance experience, including years in corporate banking, credit risk management, internal audit, loan review, or quality assurance review functions at an investment or large commercial bank.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority with Senior Levels of Management.
