Cybersecurity threats are increasingly prevalent, making it essential for organisations to have robust IT risk management and control frameworks in place. As a Cybersecurity Risk Officer, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT-related risks within our client organisation.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective IT risk management and control frameworks, ensuring robust internal controls, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This involves close collaboration with various IT and business units to enhance the organisation's overall risk posture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, assessing, and prioritising IT risks, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational risks.
  • Designing and implementing effective IT controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls and risk management strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Preparing and presenting IT risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Conducting training and awareness programs on IT risk and controls.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT risk management, IT audit, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of IT risk management principles and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT risk management and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).
  • The ability to analyse complex IT environments and identify potential risks.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.

The estimated salary for this position is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
