Job Title: Locum Consultant in Transplant Nephrology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Transplant Nephrology to join our team at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. As a key member of our Nephrology and Transplant Directorate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nephrology and transplant services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Consultant colleagues and a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Provide outpatient care in a general nephrology clinic and to a cohort of dialysis patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical audit and research activities to improve medical practice.
Person Specification:
  • On GMC Specialist Register for Renal Medicine or Specialty Registrar with CCT/CESR (Combined Programme) due within 3 months of interview date.
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
  • Broad training in Renal Medicine and experience of sub-specialty training in transplantation in an acute transplanting unit.
  • Effective team and multi-disciplinary working, communication, and leadership skills.
