We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Renal Medicine to join our team at a reputable NHS trust in Wales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the Nephrology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist care to patients with renal medicine conditions
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to patient care planning
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Conducting clinics and ward rounds to assess patient progress and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Specialist registration in Renal Medicine/Nephrology is desired
  • NHS experience in Renal Medicine is essential

Working Hours:

Core working hours will be Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00. A non-on-call week proposed job plan includes:

Monday: Handover, Admin, OPD Clinic

Tuesday: Dialysis Unit, PD clinic, MDT, travel to another site, ward referrals and clinic

Thursday: Teaching, Transplant OPD

Friday: Travel to another site
