About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team at Leonardo, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the aerospace and defense industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software for the Raven E-Scan Radar System, a key operational capability of the Saab Gripen Next Generation Fighter Jet.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Develop and maintain software using various programming languages, including C++ and C.
  • Work closely with system integration teams to resolve real integration problems on complex systems.
  • Deliver technical reports and documents, as well as generate and present technical presentations to project stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Industry experience and the ability to work independently at a senior level.
  • Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong mathematic or scientific background.
  • Developing, optimising and testing high-performance software solutions using various languages.
  • Working and delivering software using agile techniques such as Scrum.
  • Experience with cross-compiling and developing software for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of standards such as DO-178C and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++.
  • Past or current experience in heavily regulated industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, or Oil & Gas.
