Lead and Manage a Dedicated Infection Prevention Team
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our Infection Prevention and Control team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient safety and healthcare delivery within our renowned cancer services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive infection control strategies across the hospital setting, ensuring compliance with national guidelines and best practices.
- Provide expert guidance and training to healthcare professionals on infection prevention and control protocols.
- Lead and mentor a team of dedicated infection control specialists, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Conduct thorough investigations into potential outbreaks or infections, implementing effective containment measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and infection prevention throughout the Trust.

Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with specialization in infection control and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Masters degree in Infection Control.
- Teaching qualification.
- Proven senior-level experience in infection control, including service development expertise.
- Strong understanding of national infection control guidelines and best practices.
- Excellent project management skills and proficiency in IT tools for infection management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
