We're looking for ambitious individuals to join our Career Advancement Programme at ENGINEERINGUK. This 17-month fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity to launch your career in the production industry. As one of the world's most creative and technologically advanced organisations, this programme means the chance to learn from experienced professionals and gain industry-leading skills.
The programme provides hands-on experience with BBC production teams across the UK, working on various platforms including radio, TV, or digital media. You'll develop your knowledge and skills in a specific area of interest while earning an industry-recognised qualification with a reputable learning provider.
As a key member of our team, you'll acquire a wide range of skills, including content development, technical equipment operation, research, social media content creation, and studio assistance. You'll be guided by expert production team members and BBC trainers, ensuring you're well-prepared for future opportunities.
About the PlacementOur Local Radio stations celebrate local communities, covering news, stories, and events that resonate with audiences. As part of the Career Advancement Programme, you could work on live radio programmes, edit audio, produce video for social media and regional TV output, and craft audio for BBC Sounds.
We're looking for passionate individuals who can demonstrate their enthusiasm for delivering world-class content and operational excellence. Great programme participants are curious about the production process, brimming with new ideas, flexible, and excellent team players.
To Be Eligible- Be aged 18 or over when the programme starts
- Have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years by the start of the programme
- Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the programme contract
- Not currently taking part in a programme supported by another organisation
During your Programme:
- A starting salary of £21,840
- Industry-leading training through the BBC Academy and our learning providers
- A dedicated Team Manager and Scheme Specialist
- Training and Mentoring by industry professionals
- A 35-hour working week, 25 days of annual leave, and a defined pension scheme
