English and Drama Teacher Vacancy
TeacherActive is recruiting a skilled English and Drama Teacher to join a creative secondary school in Stroud. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to inspire students in both English literature and the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging English and Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Encourage students to explore literature, enhance writing skills, and perform with confidence
- Plan and execute lessons that integrate both literary analysis and dramatic performance
- Organise and direct school drama productions, showcases, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school s English and Drama curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications in English and Drama
- A strong passion for both literature and performance arts
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
- Creative and innovative approach to teaching, with a focus on student engagement
- Ability to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
