Selwood House, our luxury care home in Charlton Down, Dorchester, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary of £29,500 per annum, plus enhancements for night shifts and bank holidays.

About the Opportunity:

This is an excellent chance to work in a state-of-the-art care home, providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting residents' emotional and social needs
  • Administering and monitoring medications
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualized care plans
  • Leading and supervising a team of care assistants

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant and leading a team
  • Knowledge of dementia and its effects on individuals
  • Friendly and approachable attitude
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and colleagues
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to pursue it
