About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company's Occupational Health and Safety and Environment Policy is implemented and maintained across all sites.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems to ensure compliance with statutory and company policies.
  2. Provide expert advice and guidance to site management teams on health and safety matters.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with the TLandD Manager to identify learning needs and provide cost-effective solutions.
  5. Lead initiatives to improve commitment to health and safety at all levels and continuously improve standards to benefit site performance.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in an FMCG organization.
  2. General knowledge of all aspects of health and safety with a good level of expertise in handling audits from internal and external parties.
  3. Good knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  4. Minimum qualification NEBOSH certificate.
  5. NEBOSH diploma or equivalent (or working towards).
  6. Chartered Membership (or working towards) of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
  7. IEMA Environmental Foundation certificate, for permitted sites IEMA Associate Certificate.
  8. Knowledge of ISO14001, OHSAS18001 management systems.
  9. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  10. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
