Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team at Trace – Expert Accountancy Recruitment. As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and upskilling the FP&A function, adding true value in a commercial scope.

Main Responsibilities:
  • **Promote the Company Vision and Standards:** Develop and implement strategies to promote the company's vision and standards across commercial and finance teams.
  • **Support Finance Manager:** Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth, efficient, and productive running of the agency's finances.
  • **Financial Planning and Reporting:** Prepare various forecasting, accounting, and reporting to support management planning and decision-making.
  • **Financial Analysis:** Maintain an in-depth understanding of the financial structure, objectives, and vision of the agency.
  • **Financial Health Evaluation:** Examine and evaluate the financial health of the business, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • **Budgeting and Forecasting:** Assist with the preparation of group budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts.
  • **Variance Analysis:** Compare historical results against forecasts to evaluate variance analysis and suggest improvements.
  • **Financial Reporting:** Generate weekly financial reporting and produce snapshot data when required.
  • **Cash Flow and FX Planning:** Develop and implement strategies to manage cash flow and foreign exchange planning.
  • **Reconciliation and Advisory:** Reconcile and advise on existing foreign currency trades and contracts.
  • **Company and Client Analysis:** Perform company and client analysis based on metrics including growth, profitability, efficiency, and affordability.
  • **Strategic Decision Making:** Prepare reports to allow for strategic decision-making within the senior management meeting.
  • **Analysis and Commercial Insights:** Work alongside client services and senior management on the analysis and commercial insights required for RFI's and client requests.
  • **Data Analysis:** Support the department heads with analysis, such as utilisation and client profitability.
  • **Financial Process Maintenance:** Work closely with the finance team to maintain and refine financial processes.
  • **Data Housekeeping:** Carry out data housekeeping of our project management system for accurate reporting.
  • **Project Analysis:** Analyse projects to ensure rate cards and exchange rates are correct; advise where necessary.
Requirements:
  • **Recently Qualified Accountant:** Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis.
  • **Media and Marketing Experience:** At least 3 years of previous experience in Media/Marketing Agency.
  • **FP&A Experience:** Previous experience in FP&A duties.
  • **Attention to Detail:** Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • **Organisational and Time Management Skills:** Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • **Proactive and Face-paced Environment:** Ability to work in a proactive face-paced environment.
  • **Multi-tasking:** Ability to multi-task reactively.
  • **Internal Relationships:** Ability to form strong internal relationships.
  • **Advanced Excel Skills:** Advanced excel skills including v-look ups and pivot tables.
