About Westland Insurance Group Ltd.

We are a leading insurance provider seeking a skilled Claims Advisor to join our Surrey, BC office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with exceptional client service skills and a passion for insurance.

Compensation

The expected hiring range for this role is $40,800 to $51,000 based on a 35 hour work week. Additionally, we offer financial assistance for approved work-related training/development courses leading to certification, and programs that offer professional development, including seminars and conferences.

Job Description

As a Claims Advisor, you will be a client advocate, combining creative problem-solving with execution, taking pride in finding impactful solutions while delivering exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Claims Processing Support: Assist with intake, verification, and entry of new claims into the claims management system.
  • Document Management: Organize, file, and maintain electronic claim documentation; ensure all documents are accurately stored and accessible in electronic claims management system.
  • Data Entry & Accuracy: Ensure accurate data entry for claims-related information, verify data integrity, and make updates as necessary.
  • Daily Cheque Management: Provide support to Finance Team on daily claim cheque issuance and ensure distribution of cheques as requested.

  • Able to build authentic client relationships and function as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to demonstrate confidentiality and discretion.
  • Prior experience in insurance education and/or experience is highly desirable.
